Growing up in Marine Corps family with my 4 brothers taught me the power of cooperation and compromise. My father (Col. D.M. Black, USMC, Ret.) instilled uncompromising character and integrity, my mother added a healthy dose of caring and understanding. Living in 16 different states and two countries gave me perspective and made me adaptable.

So, at my core, I am a teacher AND a learner. I have an uncanny ability to identify best practices and share them with others in a way that makes sense for them. I am always striving to improve. I work hard but remember to enjoy this journey that is...
